Has anyone installed an aftermarket head-unit as a pop-up or does anyone know if its even possible to put a screen in that little storage bin? I'd rather have a navi that can hide away than install a double-din unit which is visible to anybody looking inside the car.

I have the factory nav system on my 03 6MT coupe and I like it a lot. The screen pop-up feature is really nice, and you can't help but believe that the screen will last a lot longer without touching it all the time and without the constant exposure to the sun. I have to admit that its still really slow though.

I'm considering doing the double din conversion when my Bose system fails again (about to have it replaced under warranty at 3.5 years and 43K miles) just so I can put in a really nice head unit. Has anyone else done this - installing a double din screen on a G equipped with the factory nav? Seems like it would give you some cool input features...

I have an after market Alpine.Works great and the screen fits where the manufacture's does as if it belonged there.Go to [url]www.alpine1.com.
I get a kick out of that womans voice telling me to stay left or right when I come off a freeway, and I live in Canada. So damn accurate freaks me out.

+2 I also wish I had just gone with an aftermarket system as the OEM system is a clunker.
