30,000 mile maintenance
I'm bringing my sedan in this Saturday for the 30,000 mile maintenance. Can anyone who's done this already give me an estimate for how much I should be expecting to spend? Thanks.
I was quoted $190.00 for my 30k service.
Service to be done:
all flueds changed. Thats it.
Maybe they will look though the car but I am not willing to pay all that for just the flued change.

I was raped by Park Ave Infiniti in Englewood NJ over the weekend. They charged me $515.15 and that was after they were so kind as to give me 10% off.

Checked the maintenance schedule today, then asked at the dealership.
The Tulsa dealership quoted $389, with adjustments if you don't want all the features (I've just changed the oil and air filter at the Nissan dealership, so could drop that).
According to the schedule, change transmission fluid and differential, an AT flush was optional.

$515 and you got hosed. I think I paid $380? As for fluids, they didn't change the tranny fluid. I asked, and they said it wasn't dirty. They did do coolant though. Plugs are not done @ 30K.
Yeah its costs like this that make the new BMW z4 coupe look very attractive to me. I went from a 2001 330xi to a G35x. I love Infiniti's reliability(BMW had a few electrical glitches) and handling. Not crazy about the mileage I'm getting though! When I had the BMW all scheduled maintenance was free and that included brakes and wipers so if BMW would just lose those crappy "Run-Flat" tires, I may consider it. Also, the bimmer did get much better mileage. It would be great if Infiniti would at least give free scheduled oil changes to make them even more attractive.
I asked for the charges at Ray Catena in central Jersey for the 30K service, and they told me like $550!!! I told them a big no. That being said, don't you think you should ask for the cost BEFORE you get the service done? Or before you make the service appoinment?
Oh I did ask and I was aware of the cost before paying because thats how I negotiated the whopping 10% discount prior to the service. The funny thing though is that the parts were only $162.81 but the labor was $377.14!?!
