1. My tires are 235/45
2. no rubbing problems when the rear is loaded
3. i did have to buy both sets of springs and I also purchased 05 350z struts to go all around just FYI.

The Coupe springs in the front will only drop .5", but in the rear they'll drop .8". The Z drop in the rear is no different. My rear camber has not been corrected since I installed the Coupe springs well over a year ago. The camber in the rear is clearly negative, but much of that can be changed with an alignment. Your X shouldn't be any different because the rear suspension subframe (where the alignment bolts are) should be the same as the RWD. I haven't gotten an alignment because I'm lazy and trying my best to destroy my EL42s. They just won't die. 36K miles and counting.

Hmmm.....I would hate to go with the camber kit route. It's more money dump into the car. I guess I can't go the G coupe rear springs then. My camber in the back is -2.9 and -2.6 which is way out of spec. The toe is in spec. I don't drive much, probably around 7,500 miles a year so I guess the tires can still last a while.

So did you swap rear z springs to rear g springs? If so, why?

I had Z springs in the rear and recently switched to Coupe springs. I noticed a significant change in the drop. With the Z springs, I could barely get one finger in the fender gap. Now with the Coupe springs, I can fit one+ finger in the gap.

I changed it out for the same reasons many others did - to reduce the drop/get more height in the rear/to balance the look so that the front didn't look so much higher. I also wanted to reduce the harshness of the ride by going w/ the softer 04 spring.

I'm running oversized tires in the back (245/40) as they are the Coupe wheels w/ factory tires...thats why the gap is a bit less than most other fitments.

Hmmm...just like your post, most people had said the coupe springs dropped less than the z springs but DaveB said it's the same drop. I am confused now...

your drop came out nice and hey you wouldn't want a 6MT with all that traffic out by you.

It does look nice. Just that the tires might wear out faster than I can rotate them . I've never dropped any of my previous cars so not sure how this negative camber will affect the tire life.

As for M/T, I don't really want to bring up the "wife factor" and why I got an Auto but this is my first Auto and all my previous cars were all M/T. Been driving M/T for 15 years or so and to be honest, slushbox is quite boring to drive. I used to drive into manhattan to work and the extra pedal never bother me. That plus it always keeps me alert/awake with 3 pedal vs 2.

In the beginning, I was playing around with the MM mode but after a while, the lagging just kills all the fun, especially 1st to 2nd. On the highway, 3, 4 and 5th gear changes are fine.

Thumbs up Yoyoo

cant believe ive missed this thread...i have a set of tein which lower my front 1.3 and rear 0.7. i finally got a set of coupe wheels on my G and it sits perrrfectly since the rear always seemed a bit lower...the problem i am having is when theres 3-4 people in my car i get some serious rubbing. to SOLVE this problem i was going to put my stock rear suspensions since the drop was only .7 and/or get 245/35/19 insstead if the stock 245/40/19's???? no alignment problems though just a bit noiser when braking i need sways

your problem chobble is the offset of the coupe 19's causing rubbing issues. i have the 350z H&R and everyone knows how low my car is but even w/ 4 people i never rubbed once yet even on the bumpy NYC streets.

haha yesyes it is but it just looks to nice =) i was thinking of rolling my fenders but i think it would still rub so hopefully either the raise ro tire size drop will help....i was also thinking of changing the rears wheels for the coupe fronts so theyd all be the same

I had the same rubbing problem w/ using the Z springs in the rear. The stock Coupe tires are too "fat", so was thinking of doing what you said and go 245/35. Putting the Coupe springs in the back helped a lot and raised it about 1/2" (drop looks pretty good - wouldn't mind the front to be 1/2" lower), but as the Coupe spring is a softer rater (04), I would probably get rubbing if someone sits back there.

I rolled my fender slightly w/ a bat to help, but I don't think I rolled it enough. If you haven't done it yet, I recommend doing it the right way and renting the roller from BigSash. He has a professional rolling tool - I will do that one day, but just haven't had the time.

The difference I measured was within a tenth of an inch. When you set the Coupe springs side by side with the Z springs, they're the same length. both times, measurements were taken with close to a full tank of fuel. Using a straight edge across the top of the tire and a measuring tape, my rear gap with the Coupe springs is ~1". The front gap with the 350Z springs is ~1.5".
