Thanks for the info. Not that I don't believe you. It's just a bit confusing because from all the earlier posts/threads, everyone said the g coupe springs are about .5 an inch higher than the z springs.

Can others please verify???

Your X shouldn't be any different because the rear suspension subframe (where the alignment bolts are) should be the same as the RWD. I haven't gotten an alignment because I'm lazy and trying my best to destroy my EL42s. They just won't die. 36K miles and counting.
That's amazing. I'm dropped on coupe springs all around, and I had quite a bit of negative camber. So much so that I ate over 50% of tread off my kumho all-seasons in about 4k miles. Cheryl has the same tires, and has been to the drag strip the same number of times, and in about 10k miles her tires still look brand new. Granted, I drive it a bit harder on the road than she does, and do higher-rpm launches, but I couldn't believe the difference. So I went and got an alignment, and I've got a lot more use out of the tires since.

What's your camber/toe after alignment? Also, is Cheryl's car lowered too?

The Z springs are a solid .5" lower in the front than the coupe springs. Since this results in the most noticable visual difference, maybe that is why everyone says coupe springs = .5" drop. For nearly a year now I've said the Coupe springs give a .5 drop in the front and a solid .8" drop in the rear.

I don't have the slip in front of me, and I can't remember. Hell, I don't even know if I still have it anymore. Sorry.

And cheryl's car is still at stock ride height.

How much wider is your tire rim combo compared to her setup? The wider the setup, the more impact camber will have on tires. The inner portions of my EL42s are pretty worn, but I also didn't rotate the tires until 36K miles which means they had 14K miles on them without a rotation (bought the car with 22K). Interestingly, the outsides of the fronts were as worn as the inside of rears so the rotation worked out perfectly. I think the reason my rear tires haven't shown dramatic wear with the dramatic negative camber is because the EL42 are narrow as hell for a 215/55R17. I will definitely get an alignment when I go with new and wider aftermarket 215/55R17 or 18' rims.

She's running 245/40's on coupe 18's. I'm running the same size on 18x8.5's.

Now that you mention it, we don't particularly know how wide the wheels are exactly. We got them used from a local coupe owner, who was the second owner of the car. He was told the original owner had replaced replaced the fronts so he could do a full traditional rotation.

Are the coupe 18's the same width front-to-back?

the rim itself is the same for the front and back from what i've read online, but i can double check on my wheels if need be. the only diff. is the tires itself, oem came with 225 up front and 245 in the rears.

not trying to jack this thread, but what if you just drop the front and leave the rears only, would that look right or no? i've bought the 350z springs, but since i started reading this, i don't know if you should drop the rear also, i want an even drop all around.

It may work, it may not. My guess is that running Z springs up front and stock springs out back may induce some twitchy handling and possibly a bit of understeer. In a small effect, it will be like adding a stiffer front swaybar.
