I love it when I pull out of some where or go from a light and shift around 4 grand, every one on the side turns there heads and are like what the F*ck was that. I have had more than enough complements on how mean and awesome it sounds. There is a350z locally that has an ingen exhaust and it sounds like Sh*t compared to my car.

I will break down the sound in writing for you.

Below 2 grand it has that nice v8 rumble, and burble, at 2-3 grand it sounds just like the g35 coupe turing 3-4,000 rpms only much louder, and at 3grand and up its has this over powering exotic sounding v12 sound to it that is so sweet in every way.

When I first got the exhaust I went to car show and had a guy following me in a Z06 out of the show trying to figure out what type of exhaust that is, and that he complemented that my car is the best sounding import that he had ever heard. Last week I had a guy in an orange Gallardo say my car sounds awesome.

Just get it...
u should be in sales

[QUOTE=NickS]...not tinny, loud and have that burble on the down rev
like some exhausts I've heard....QUOTE]

[QUOTE=BillMartin]...who DOESNT want their exhaust gurgling on a down shift??[QUOTE]

I just want the exhaust noise, not that popping/burble/backfire noise that some exhaust seem to have. If it's a nice tone and does it, that's fine.

yeah i have a gen 1 on my sedan and i love it. It's got a good smooth yet deep sound...hmm that sounded gay. lol anyways, there is a for sure dif with the stillen and those big over sized mufflers. It doesn't have that rediculous ricer sound. and when you coast or in idle you can barely hear it. But when you accelerate *********as will hear you comin. lol also it looks just like the OEM so unlless you're on the gas no one will know what you've got. it's great when you're at a red light and some *** clown thinks you're bone stock, until you take off on his fool ***!

I've heard so many good things about the way it sounds but have yet to hear a really good sound clip (most are distorted). How is the drone for you? It's a concern for me but I'm buying it used so I can deal with it and may put some sound absorbing material in and around the trunk area if it gets too bad.

And I want to thank everyone for their input on this. I will be posting before and after results along with QUALITY sound and video clips. I plan to test before and after with my sound meter so everyone will know just how loud compared to stock it is. Tons of info to come....

well i've heard of people putting dampers or something in the exhaust pipes but i'm like why? There is a droning noise, like when you're just cruising along. but unless you're riding all quite with no music you won't really notice. It's pretty tolerable. the gen2 i guess quieted that out. but if you're gettin yours used for cheap then i wouldn't complain. you're gettin a good product. and if you don't like it....take it off. I installed the whole thing myself real easy so worst case senario is you don't like it and sell if and buy a gen2 or something

NickS, I see you have already bought it, I'd just like to say that you made an awesome choice. I got Gen 1, and while it does have a drone at highway speeds and a bit around town (it annoys some people... for me, and for alotta others who've posted in here however, it's fine...) but the sound it awesome. You posted in my post with the video asking if mine way Gen 1 or 2, and its 1. But the sound clips from that (or any other I have heard) do it NO JUSTICE what so ever! As someone else said, at higher, WOT RPM's, it's almost an exotic sound, it screams like no other exhaust I've heard on any V6. And the only other engine (outside of exotic V10's and up) that can hold a candle to this exhaust would be good aftermarket exhausts for V8's. No V6 have I heard sound as good as this IMO, aftermarket or not. It's got a deep sound lower in the RPM's, and I have yet to hear anyone call it a ricey or otherwise bad sound.

Great exhaust, you'll love it, I'm sure!

One word... dynomat. Which I might end up doing at some point as well, though at this time I don't mind the drone.

do not remove your cats; mine sounds too loud, even with after it was converted into a single exhaust because of the single turbo

I was looking into an exhaust too in order to get a little more out of this pig.
I am from the mustang world, so it is hard for me to fathom the price of these parts! Just the rear section is around $350-$400! I could have bought a hgh quality catback for that on the stang. Anyways, it sounds like everyone is for the Stillen. Is there anyplace to get it really cheap, or anybody got any used ones for sale? I am a cheap ****.

Do you have Cold Air Intake?

The growl you seek may be solved by cold air intake. There is no "ricey" exhaust sound, just an angry grumble when you get the car over 3500 RPM's. I am a huge fan, and the increased HP is a plus.
