anyone have a coupe mid pipe and aftermarket y-pipe combo? If so, is it louder, any drone and is there any difference? I have the coupe mid-pipe now and the drone is starting to get to me, so i wanted to know if the y pipe will make any difference.

 

the ypipe will make it a tad louder, since there is a resonator inside the stock ypipe

yet, if you want to kill the drone completely, your best bet is to switch to a 05 and + stock middy

 

Or soundproof the trunk and backseat. If it drones and you don't care for it why would you even want the middy?

 

i had no idea it was going to drone that much, i sound proofed the trunk, all 4 doors, and the bottom of the back seat.

 

now the drone is getting to you? i'm telling ya it's the heat that makes it louder. try soundproofing. it does make it better. i still have to do the backseat and the driveshaft

 

yeah i soundproofed; doors (outer and inner), whole trunk and under the rear seats. so does anyone have this combo?

 

I soundproofed everything you did but for the doors. Still have the drone. I use MM and shift down if I have to. If I'm alone, I tend to like it!

 

I have an 03 sedan with stock Y, Coupe mid pipe and HKS rear section. I have very little drone. No complaints.
