Re: G35 VS IS300
a 5mt is300 might have a chance over the auto g35.. but otherwise, the G.. barely.. a friend of mine has an e-shift is300 w/ mods to exhaust, intake, and custom wheels.. which boosts it to around 240 hp.. but still feels i'd beat him if we raced. would be an interesting race though.. the is300 has some good power. riding in one caused me to want a sport sedan.

Re: G35 VS IS300
This is one of the choices I looked at when first looking. But the styling was too...don't know how to say this...young? It looks like a car for the 18 - 24 year olds and didn't really appeal to me. It was not a serious consideration when compared to the G, A4 and 325. That said I think it is a great car and performance wise in day to day driving I don't think I could really feel the difference.

Re: G35 VS IS300
I test drove the IS300 back in the spring prior to picking up my G. It feels a little more nimble which is understandable because it's quite a bit smaller.
Off the line, some kid in a Sunfire/Cavalier decided to race me off a light coming off the freeway (clear road). Despite my best efforts in the IS300, I BARELY beat him to the next lights. Not very impressive! Sorta feels like a dressed up Toyota inside as well.

Re: G35 VS IS300
They have the RX330 SUV now, so it's only a matter of time for them to throw that 3.3L motor into the IS. The IS430 will kick our butts hands down. Also, be careful because there are turbocharged IS300's out there...that motor definitely has potential in being boosted.
