Need Help On Removing Center Console On 05

I Just Bought A Short Shifter But I Can't Install It. It Seems The Center Console Won't Come Off. I'm Afraid To Put Too Much Pressure On It That I Might Break The Aluminium Trim Around The Shift Stalk. Can Anyone Help?

Check out this post... it has the Service Manual for the 05 - shows where all the clips are. It's kind of nerve racking the first time you take the dash/console apart... but you'll see that most of it is held together by clips. There are a couple other posts with pics for installing the PAC ipod adaptor that might be helpful too.

I did an DD install on an 06' AT and you had to put some pressure on it to get it to unsnap.
