Should I do wheels/tires or Stillen S/C?

Alright, so the wheels/tires setup I want while lowering my car will come to around $3K w/ labor at Les Schwab (So I might just get the suspension parts and do it my self.. .the wheels/tires is just over $2,300 for 19's)

However, the current wheels I like anyway (stock 17's) and am really interested in the Stillen Stage II supercharger. The problem is that it's going to cost over $5K to get. I'll probably have a friend help me install it, but if not, I'm not good enough yet to install it on my own, so I got a friend who's friends run a shop who could help me, but I'd have to pay labor.

What should I do? Figure out a way to do the Supercharger, or just go with the wheels/tires at the end of this winter (I won't have the $$ until 1-2 months from now, and by then window would start setting in, and I'd need to put my all-seasons on anyway at that point...)?

Go with the SC now and install it yourself. It is not hard to do if you take your time. Wheels/tires can come at any time but with the SC you can burn up your stock tires first!

hahahaha, I didn't even think about it that way. Can you loan $5K?

Sure, do what I did and get a no interest credit card for 18 months with a $20k limit, get everything you want and pay it off as you enjoy it!!!!

I vote S/C, but you will need to upgrade the tires in order to plant that power, handling, and to be safer in the rain. Possibly brakes too. I think the suspension will work for now and the rims are just for your taste. I am always pro-go-fast mods.
Ideally you don't want your engine to out perform the chasis/etc. (i.e, frame, suspension, brakes, tires)--that = accident waiting to happen.

If you have the 5K to burn do the SC and just save up during the winter for the wheels/tires(since its the cheaper of the two). Or just save the 5K plus more and just do everything next spring. THATS WHAT I WOULD DO!

i would do the wheels now and if you have money to burn wait till the winter to build the S/C or if you just want one or the other i would do the S/C now

I'm always show over go. But no, I don't even have the $$ for wheels/tires right now, just tryin to decide rather, when I do have the $$ saved up, which I should go for first.

If you're "always show over go", why are you even contemplating a supercharger?
