Brighter back up lights

The thread on tints reminded me about HID back up lights I saw online once. I have not been able to find them again. Has anyone had success getting higher output with their back up light...there really are time i am uncomfortable backing up with my tint.

THANKS FOR THE INFO!!

If you want to make your own, you can start with a kit from hid planet, xenonking, or ebay.

If your windows are tinted, it's cheaper to remove it

I think they were like 350 but like i said i cant find them anymore. I dont necessarily have to have hid but i dont want to waste any money if the intermediate stuff doesnt really help.

Thanks for the ideas though!

I think I've seen a kit like this out by a vendor named "Umnitza" for the BMW E46's. www.umnitza.com was the website...

Doesn't the new caddy's have reverse hid's or hILed's? I saw them in a parking lot when an old man was backing out. I thought he was backed in but he was backing out.

I tried a couple sets of LED lights in there but they were never as bright as the stock bulbs.

I checked out the V-leds.com website and I thought it was weird at registration that they ask for your sex and DOB. Even worse is that they don't even have secure check out let alone security setup when you register your personal information with them. Check the bbb.org website and they don't even come up and the website doesn't show any contact information except an email. Sent up some red flags to me so I just ordered my bulbs from superbrightleds.com later that night.

Maybe they're considering starting up a dating service on the side for fans of LED lights
