I just cleaned my MAF while watching a neighbor's house on fire. I did a ECU reset and will report later when I take it onto the highway.

I took mine out. Looked perfectly clean to me. But I cleaned it anyway with a Q-tip and alcohol.

I'd ask if anyone else's that saw a benefit noticed the condition but I doubt anyone could see it w/o taking it out of the tube.

Did mine tonight. I have 50k miles and have had a Stillen intake since 1k. My MAF was slightly dusty when I looked at it. And I mean slightly. After I sprayed it, it was clean as a whistle. Reset the ECU, and went for a drive. Minor change. I can notice it pulling a little harder at lower RPMs, but nothing major. I am wondering if it will increase fuel mileage however, because when the MAF is dirty, it can run rich. So we'll see. I'll post again later if I notice any difference. I only went for a 10 minute ride.

I'm going to revise my previous post. After driving around for a couple more days, I have noticed a marked increase in low end response and mid range power. I noticed that the car had been lagging at the low end. Seems a bit more responsive now. I also used to get a sulfuric odor from my exhaust, and I have not yet noticed that since I cleaned the MAF. I'm not saying it is gone, because I didn't always smell it before. I usually would smell it after romping on it for a bit then coming to a stop. It has yet to do that. I will post again if it goes away completely. I think that smell had something to do with the car running rich.

Mpg...

Have you guys noticed any increase in MPG ? Usually I can't go past 400-450KM with a full tank of gaz, now my trip meter is at 421KM and I still have a little over a quarter tank of fuel left...

Anyways, doesn't mean **** cuz It all depends on how you drive but I believe it helped my MPG since my MAF got cleaned...

yes i did notice that i am now getting better MPG - not by much, but a solid 1-2mpg better. the problem is that i commute to work, and the highway i take to get there (~30 miles) - I-280 - is fairly high-speed. so, one day i may have a cruise control at 80mph, and another day i may be driving 95-100, with sprints to 120-130mph. there are cops, but rarely, and sometimes there are straight 4-lane stretches with everything visible in sight, with no traffic... pure joy. sorry, i digress. the point was that gas usage is vastly different at those speeds.

Just curious, let's say you're cruising at 5th gear at 80mph and decide to do sprints from 80mph up to 100mph+, does your AT shifts into 3rd gear or 4th the moment you step WOT?
