Difference was NIGHT and DAY!!!
You mean the two torx bit screws? I unscrewed those and unplugged the connector. But I couldn't pry the sensor out. I can do this w/ our RX300 easy. Anyone remove the maf sensor this way? I don't want to break this thing. If I can expose the sensor itself, I can just use a Q-tip and rubbing achohol.

do not remove the sensor itself, and keep q-tips away from it, unless you want to buy yourself a new sensor.
Actually I know too much. Older maxima MAFs were bulletproof. Newer 2k+ maximas = eh
I assume the G mafs are fragile.

Crap! I removed the tube containing the MAF sensor and sprayed the sensor real good with the cleaner. When I put it all back togeather and started the car, the SES light came on. I cleared it with the pedal method, but it comes on immediatly after computer reset. I'm screwed!!!!! Looks like I need a new MAF sensor.
I removed the MAF sensor by unscrewing it from the housing. I then sprayed the sh*t out of it using the CRC MAF cleaner. I then drove from the Bronx to Queens and then from Queens to Yonkers.
Verdict: I can't really tell any difference.

You were able to pull it out of the MAF tube?

Be very careful when messing with the MAF sesnor. I just got a quote from the Stealership for $553.61 to replace it.
Dang! I sure hope I can get mine operational again.

Hmm odd. If you reset the cel, it shouldn't read a maf code until you drive it and the ecu see's a problem. Is the connector "connected" right?
Do you have an OBDII scanner to read the actual code?

I'm hoping it is something really simple, like the connector being not tight. I reset the computer several times last night, and every time I restarted the engine, the CEL came on immediatley. The first time I started the car, the MAF was unpluged. My BAD. So I wasn't surprised to see the CEL, but then I plugged it up and it stays on. Oh GOD, why me?
