You must have got the year wrong. The 350 will beat the G every time.

2004 Lexus IS300 (5-Speed Man) 7.3 15.50
2002 Lexus IS300 Sport Cross 7.7 15.80
2006 Lexus IS350 (auto) 5.1 13.70

What makes you think you can run a low 14, much less better a 14.2 with those wheels?

One of the best times I've seen for an auto 03 sedan is somewhere in the 14.1-14.3 range with light mods

"it has sooo much power. if you look at the engine there is no space." This didnt bother me but then he said "its a 3.7 liter". i was like what... is this guy confused???? He then also said " It could take any car in the parking lot"//// Now he showed a complete lack of respect for my G. After work im going to call him out and see if he wants to run. As far as i know im gonna light him up. I have a 2003 g sedan. Full stillen intake/ztube/exhaust/headers/down pipe/. and then full front and rear stillen swaysbars. upgraded stainless steel brake lines, powerslott rotors, ceramic pads. Droped 1.1 all the way around with the eibach prokit. and I have Tokico pro-adjust shocks. sittin on 20 in scarfaces. What do you guys think?
I love my sedan, but sorry.. there is no way that you can "light him up"; you would be lucky to pull an even race

They dun do bad on the track too....they have good slalom numbers posted by a few magazines..at least better than the G sedan or coupe 's

The IS350 is available only with a 6 speed auto. The 250 on the other hand does have a manual as an option. Either the guy was bumping into the limiter in manumatic mode, or you raced a 250.

Because their marketing plan does not address boy racers. Seriously, I think they want to sell to old pharts for an economical daily driver, or for really rich old pharts to give to their g/f. Boy racers appreciate the power, and might prefer M/T, but they don`t buy many cars, in the overall scheme of things.

It's becase a majority of their sales is Auto so they will introduce the money maker 1st. Just like the G35 sedan.

Plus it's an SIX speed auto. Either one is equally potent.

With a close ratio rear end and a six speed auto you will get quick, reliable shifts every time. Just look at the AT supras that typically run faster than the MT's.

I'm installing my 3.5FD next week and raising my rev limiter to 7300RPM, I think with that and my 262RWHP that I will walk an IS350.
