IMO, I dun feel the difference on the 3.53 FD... except I hit the rev limiter sometimes lol..

anyhow, you raising the rev limiter by TS reflash?

Btw, on the look department, you kill the IS completely...

Like everyone else said. The IS 350 is no slouch. I predict some embarrasing days for you at work in the near future if you call this guy out.

If the 3.5FD doesn't make a noticable difference, then I'll be ordering the Central20 3.9 gears. Yeah, I am planning to have a TS reflash since my Unichip won't let me raise the limiter.

Actually, the G35 sedan is better in the slalom in every single publication done that directly compared the two. Its because the VDIM is extremely intrusive and won't let you push the car to its limits. The G35 coupe murders the both of them in slaloms due to the more aggressive suspension and waaaay better tires (IS350 ~ 62mph, G35 ~ 64mph, coupe ~67mph).

Go the Clublexus forums and even read the owners review of the IS350 and they will all admit that the BMW and G35 handle better plain and simple. The steering feel also lacks compared to the BMW and G35.

However, the 2007 IS350 will have a disable button for the VDIM so it'll post better numbers on the next comparo.

+1

You need to get some 18's or 19's that are relatively lighter weight. If you're a performance kind of guy 20 inch chromes are not gonna help you...only slow you like others have said.

LOL @ "calling out."
I used to do that back in High School when I had a 3.3L Dodge Dynasty...I lost so much I ended up getting a 3.5L G35.
You'll loose. Don't do it. Part of being the better man in a situation like this is not giving a **** in the first place.

Why do you feel insulted by this guy? The IS350 packs more power and weighs about the same so it's going to be a little faster. It you want to feel better about yourself, know that he spent a lot more on that Lexus.

well this guy has "3.7 liters" so im sure he knows how to drive real well...LOL
if you had lighter wheels, brake torque, nail every shift and with the combination of him not knowing how to drive his car right...you "might" have a chance....i think...

Handling wise there is no comparison. The is doesn't have a steering feel and has much more body roll than my stock sedan used to have.

Has anyone seen a dyno if these yet? I'm curious how much the 6AT affects the performance. I'll bet that the car isn't making a significant amount hp/tq more than the G, but rather the tranny is the winning option. I'm sure fast shifts and gearing are the reasons.
