Hi—just wanted to add a blurb for those of thinking of putting a SAT antenna on the back shelf with tinting. Had the car done with, I believe, Lumnar (sp) all around. Legal 35% for WA added to what was already on the car for the front side windows, then about 25% or so to the back quarter windows and the rear window (can’t have any tint here on the windshield). He used film all around, came with the same warranty as the metallic. Got the Sirius tuner and small antenna from Grubbs, and the installation ran around $70 and the car was ready in about two hours. They took out the child restraint on the rear deck, antenna went in its place without a trace of wires, and was small enough so the original restraint cover went right back over it. They said I could have a small loss of signal compared to the ‘shark fin’, but haven’t noticed any noticeable lost signals lasting for over a few seconds.
