Nasty Engine Bay Sight

Friday night I go outside to throw the trash away and I smell something awful outside. Im thinking its just the trash cans since my neighbors and I both have babies and we are always throwing dirty diapers away. Saturday same thing happens and I go about my business. Sunday morning comes around and my wife and I go to the store. When we get out I notice the smell was still there...it was overpowering. On our way home I stop because I need gas and when I get out I still smell it and by this time I am dead set against finding it. Im thinking its probably a mouse or something that has crawled up in my engine and died. I pop the hood and low and behold I find something but I cant quite make out what it is. So I drive home, grab a flashlight and invistigate. Turns out one of the neighborhood cats had crawled through the cutout in the plastic cover by the oil pan and died. He was not snagged on anything nor was he killed by any moving engine parts. He was just sitting there. I called animal control because I was not about the put this dead cat in my trash can when trash pick up was still 3 days away. So the man comes out and I unscrew the plastic liner and be begans to pull out nothing but bones and a little fur. It was the nastiest thing I had ever seen. I know I should not have done this but I took a hose and slowly let water run into the tray while it was still attatched to the car. I wasnt about to touch that thing after what I just saw. Ive heard of things like this happening but never thought I would be the one it happened to.

Cats sure do love engine bays. Hopefully your car isn't haunted now.

That is just wrong. The cat loved your car and wanted to be buried with his favorite thing. Now you too that away from him.

JK

That sucks.

You will not be able to pass smog now that you removed the cat.
