Quick Update (SPC Camber Arm on 05x)

Just some recent additions before I take off for the school year. the rest of the parts will arrive once I am up in Maine (HKS Exhaust, APS plenum, Hawk Ceramics)

Enjoy

Sorry, it has been overcast, so I do not have any descriptive/sunlight photos of the detail, you can still see the depth of it tho

Process:

Wetsanded front and rear bumpers w/ 3k unigrit (getting out those NYC parking scuffs)

Mezz PowerGloss Yellow Pad
Mezz IP Orange Pad
Mezz FP White Pad

Zaino Z1 Black pad
Z5 Black
Z2 Black

took two days (started afterwork in afternoon both days)

Recent additions

-Painted Grill (sand with 800 grit, 2 coats black, wetsand, 2 thick coats clear)
-8k Bulbs
-Huper Optiks 30% and 40% windshield
-Valantine 1 (not installed yet)
-SPC rear camber arm
-06 6mt Rear Muffler

(^^^ left is SPC adjustable, right is Stock)

the camber arm takes alot of muscle to remove. to facilitate ease of installation, I reversed the side of the bolt when I installed the new arm. all you need is a monkey wrench, a socket set, and a breakerbar. I believe that is the toe arm which is in the way of the inner camber arm bolt - it prevents you from removing the camber bolt unless you giggle it.

I went to this place called "Allignment World". They did a fantastic job. My steering is more centered than it was stock. I am now running -1.5 in the rear which is well within specifications. The tech warned me that I should invest in a front camber kit as well (which has yet to be released for an X)

painting the grill is really easy (if you have the time). the emblem pops out via two clips.

ohh, found something.

this was my test panel for the detail (before I did the entire vehicle)

Before

After

daytime huper optik shot (very reflective).

if you have a huper optik dealer near you, Get them!!! Rolling up my windows is like stepping into the shade. I have full cell phone reception and the navigation now loads quicker (before I had the interfering metalic film).

When I actually need the A/C, I only operate it at the lower fan speed. The huper's cut out ALOT of heat.

the only problem with hupers, is that it takes a LONG time to dry.
expect a few weeks if not a month before all the moisture and bubbbles dry up.

Neal,

Looking good. You should be a detailer one day. Have fun in Maine.

Hey, why you swap your muffler out for a 6mt muffler? Is it different? Louder?

Lookin good.

I have a set of SPC arms and toe bolts in my garage. This makes me want to get off my butt and put them in.

Looks good Neal! I'm thinking of making a trip up to James Tint and get Hupers on mine too.

Looks great, your detail work is awesome. Should have not bothered with the muffler IMO, you can remove your tips and polish them with some metal polish.

yeah my muffler had 416 miles when we unbolted it.

PART #7W200 6MT sedan
PART #7W205 G35x

the mufflers are different-- 6mt's/sport package sedan mufflers ARE less restrictive than the G35 non sports
