I am planning on buying a 2007 model of any of these. Any of these would be a great buy but I am juss wondering what your guys' opinions were. G35 sedan wouldnt be as fast but it is luxurious (the way i like it). STi's and Evos are dang fast but nothing spectacular about them interior wise. Its hard to pick. Let me know what you guys think. and if there are any comparos/reviews post them up! THX~!

 

whats important to you, g35 is luxury and speed but you have to baby your car you can be ruffer on the evo and ruffer on the sti, depends whats important to you

 

heres the thing.. i love the g35 but wished it could compete with the evos and sti. all these peopel arround me have evos and sti's and to me i wanna be able to smoke them.. it sounds like a personal problem and im sorry. im juss very confused and need input

 

YOU need to determine what kind of car YOU want, and go from there. You're looking in two completely different categories IMO.

For me, I wouldn't even look at an STI or an EVO because I'm not looking for all wheel drive or blistering performance out of the hole. I'm not tracking my car. I don't drive in the snow. I wanted a reasonably quick near-luxury sedan at a reasonable price, with a decent interior. I didn't want a boy-racer image, which to me the other two you mention come with whether you want it or not. I didn't want a cop magnet.

It's all about you. All are nice cars, it just depends on what you want.

G
STi
EVO

If I were to look at an Evo, I'd wait on the X.

Well initially I thought you were talking about the 06 G35 Sedan (you would have been eaten for lunch by both).

The 2007 G35 coupe seems to have much more power than the current one. About 40 hp more than the auto and 22 more than the 6MT (thats by old standards; 36 hp on auto and 8 more on 6MT by the new SAE standards)

It would be a great race although those evo's are pretty sick when it comes to performace.

Everything else is in your favor; Luxury, looks, interior... etc.

Overall, id go for the 07 G35 hands down.

 

The Evo and sti are ulgy 4 doors. The g is just sexy and the reliability of the other 2, you cant compare to the G. The interiors of the evo and sti are just plain nasty. But you want speed they are the ones you want. Unless you go to the track all the time I dont see the need. G has plenty of power and luxury. Thats why I got mine.

 

Get a G and mod it past STI/EVO numbers

 

The 07 sti's will have leather interior... So they're bumping up the appeal...

 

What's important to you at this point in life? I had a 99 supercharged Civic Si. I grew tired of all the punk kids who drove tuned Civics. I wanted to separtate myself from that crowd and wanted a more grown up car. An Evo and STI are still in that boy racer category which is fun once in a while, but like I said I hate the punk kid crowd. A G35 6MT is a good balance of performance and comfort...and you won't blend in with the Civic, Evo, and STI drivers who meet in the parking lots of Subway.

 

i dont think the 2007 g35 will have turbo that quick n even though, sti and evos can upgrade their turbos which will pass the G right?

If you really have the money, just get an 07 G35 sedan 6MT and mod it including a turbo kit. Then, the STI's and Evo's wouldnt wanna mess with you, and you would also have the luxury, looks, and comfort.

 

Lets see Infiniti or Mitshi****shu or Subaru? An adult car or a teenager car?

 

And flush your warranty straight down the toilet.

 

i went to the subaru dealer today and some dude came in iwth a black sti. he tells me and my homie that he smokes evos and with little mods that he does, he gains a grip of hp. i understand that some cars dont gain much power with mods while some cars do. is the g35 obtain power easily with mods?
