New look to my 04 what do you think?

Just painted the sills all around, paint matched (obviously), wet sanded and buffed the headlights, I used the clay bar system on the paint, followed by a cutter polish, enhancer polish, 2 coats of glaze, 2 coats of wax. opinions??
These photos were taken with a Canon Rebel XT with the 18-55mm lens, in fully manual settings, I couldnt get the right colors...can someone pm me with some tips for getting good colors from this camera, in this type of setting.

Did you paint them yourself or have a shop do it like I did in 03? Having the sills painted is great but the little lip at the bottom of the frnt bumper seems to get mangled fast. I just stripped the paint off of that piece and have had no issues.

Looks good! Sounds like you did the painting yourself...if you lived closer, I'd ask if you'd do mine & I'd pay you!

Any further info. on buffing the headlights (i.e. product, procedure, etc)? I'd love to get rid of the haze & speckles in mine. Thanks.

where did you buy your paint? did you have to mix it with anything to get the exact color?

I can't see any difference in the paint, except slightly on the front bumper. but it is hardly noticeable.

I did not wax the freshpaint

I did not do the paint myself, I had my body shop guy match the paint, mixed fresh! I can refer anyone in the Bay Area to him and get a special rate, so long as I am there to work it out for you.

Paint.
I specifically did not paint that bottom most lip, because first off, I think it looks nasty when it is painted, and second, I did not want the paint to get chipped off, and expose the paint to oxygen.
The color matching is literally perfect on the sides and the rear bumper, and slightly lighter for the front lip. This is due to painting on plastic. Painting on plastic will generate a different color than on polyurethan or metal.

For the Wet Sanding.

Use 2000 Grit sand paper, and literally dip it in water, and sand your headlight until you get even sanding, and you have covered the surface of the abrasion. I used a polish compound on the buffer and buffed them to even out any scratches, etc. from sanding. I then buffed it with a finishing compound. they look beautiful.highly reccomend DIY to anyone!

Total Cost: just so i dont **** anyone off, >$500
yes, my mechanic loves me.

thanks for the compliments,

any questions please PM me
