things you notice when your car is up on a lift...

well, my car was up on a lift this morning (see other thread RE: hks muffler install) and i got to peek around the bottom of the car, which i hadn't done before in any great detail.

what i cringed at the most was seeing the spots where i had bottomed out. one area on the ypipe, and an area on each cat. ugh. all i have is a 1" drop around from Z springs and i drive VERY carefully, but the @#$@# curb cutouts in cali are at screwed up angles from big streets. anyone in south bay who's turned into a strip mall off el camino knows what i'm talking about.

anyway just a rant and a reminder to all with a drop, take it easy when going up or down to save your exhaust components from getting too dinged up!

I noticed lots of stuff last week when I was taking off my cats. Good thing they make those parts to scrape.

I know exactly what you mean. I have those scrapes on my HKS and Cats. The wierd thing is that Mine is not dumped to the ground but yet I seem to scrape on little things that my friends with cars lower have no issue going over.

EDIT: oops sorry didn't notice this was posted for Sedans
