Rear reclining seats (Are they worth it?)

I opted not to buy the premium package because I am in the car the by myself majority of times. When my family goes on long trips we always take the SUV.

But for those who have more occupants on a regular basis how comfortable are the rear reclining seats. Are they worth it on long rides or occassional snoozes? I bought essentially what I needed. If I had rear occupants on a frequent basis I would have definitely bought them.
I await your comments.

Well, if you hardly would ever use them, then you did the right thing. But they *are* pretty sweet.

i like em, especially for those long road trips. they don't really recline that far, but still nice nonethless.

I like them. They recline just enough to make naps during road trips much more comfortable. The rear A/C vents and rear auto up/down windows are nice, too.

The premium package does have some "me" items in it.. auto headlamps, memory seat, Homelink/auto-dimming rearview mirror, and the Bose and sunroof.

Then again, I just like 'em loaded.

In all honesty, I’m never back there, but it’s nice to have the ‘airplane seat’ recliners. In fact, we were driving some friends of ours back from dinner and movie about two months ago. One of them was sick (combo booze and dehydration) and commented ‘I really wish these seats reclined.’ That pretty much made them worth it for me! I will admit the fold down seats would have been more useful though.

Thanks for the feedback. I was always curious about this topic.

What would I do without this site.

since you didn't get them, don't worry your self over it. I have them on mine and I love them. they recline just enough to get comfortable and take a nap. They are so comfy that my son fell asleep during the test drive of our car.

Why did they remove the AC Vent for the 6MT? Is there a way we can add it to the 6MT, has anyone done it?

I believe the hand brake mechanism takes up the space that would otherwise be occupied by the rear A/C ducts.

Re: Rear reclining seats (Are they worth it?)

I love the seats. I've taken some road trips and those in the back really appreciate them quite a bit. I turned around and the armrest was down, bottles of water in the cup-holders (nothing non-clear in the car), and they were asleep, reclined on pillows. They looked so peaceful. I envied them.

Then I was like "why am I the one up here, driving for 7 straight hours (not that I mind), while they are sleeping back there??"

I then sped up quite a bit, aimed at the back of a semi, and proceeded to scream bloody murder as I slammed the brakes.

They were awake for the rest of the trip.

I don't get why they didn't just leave the e-brake the way it is in the AT, just asthetics I guess, who knows!

That's why we have roof ties and bungie cords. She gets a "gentle breeze" and you can't hear the whining.

Win/Win.
