Wait a second.
Am I hearing right? There are 2003 sedans loaded with options going for $20 - $25K?
I just paid $34K for a brand new 06 MT sedan that is nearly identically equipped to the one at the beginning of this thread, the only difference is that it's an '06. But its probably safe to assume that in 2003, a new G wouldn't cost much more than it does in 2006, perhaps a little less.
So if a 2003, which is 3 years old (actually almost 4), with 40,000 miles (which is at least average), is going for $25K today, then that means that in almost 4 years, the car has only depreciated 26.5%.
That is UNHEARD of. Edmunds.com estimates 3 year depreciation at 42%. This car is considerably less than that and it's almost 4 years old. So either Infinity's are ridiculously good at holding their value, or people are getting ripped off.
$34,000 car, 3-4 years old, 40,000 miles = $20,000
NOT $25
