I sanded mine really really good with a random orbital....maybe 200 grit...I forgot.

rustoleum, clear, wetsand , whatever, I forgot the process. none the less its been at least a month and a half (and one 350 mile highway trip) and no peeling.

(excuse rock chips on hood)

im gonna have the entire vehicle resprayed one day...

so if I want to change my chrome grill to a kinda glossy black, what exactly do I need to do?

you think it would look hot to have a black grill with chrome emblem on my silver sedan?

Some of these look real good.

So what is the process you are using? Seems to be different from person to person.

Feel free to correct this:
1. Use aircraft paint remover
2. Sand with 400 grit
3. Use paint promoter
4. Sand again?
5. 2+ coats of paint
6. Clear coat

i guess both ways it would be fine, the only dif is the primer, btw i used duplicolor and neal used rustoleum, if i had to do it again i would find a shelden williams and have them match the color to my car, but if you are doing black on any other color than OB it doesnt matter
