2004 G35 sedan parking light

Does anyone know how to change the front parking light that is in the front headlight housing? It's so compacted back there and everything is covered up that I can't see anything. One mechanic told me I would have to remove the front bumper! just to change a tiny parking light?
I don't want to take it to dealer for this; they'll probably charge me $50 or more. Unfortunately it wont be covered by the warranty, because my wife hit something in the freeway and part of the housing is cracked but everything else works fine except the tiny parking light.
Appreciate any input.

You dont need to take the bumper off. All you need to do is turn the wheel all the way to give yourself some room to come in through the wheel well. Rremove those 3 clips holding the fender up, you should be able to reach in with your hand and find the parking light. You need to turned the parking light counter clockwise to pull it out. It is really easy, takes 5 minutes once you know what you are doing.

no i think he meant the parking light located right next to the fog light/high beam. I will confirm that it is very much possible to reach from the fenderwell without removing the bumper. Reach for a flat plastic piece and start to wiggle and turn it and you should able to get it out with no problems at all!

you dont have to remove the bumber, just the plastic under the fender, i replaced mines and my car is lowered with out even lifting the car up, all you got to do is turn the wheel and take off the plastic cover, its a little tricky but you will get it, no need to remove the bumper, thats crazy

afar1 - if you're referring to the white "clearance bulb", go to this post and look at thread #14...I've posted step by step instructions a while back & it's easier to do than it sounds...should take 10-15 minutes per side...good luck:

Thanks for the input

Thank you all for the replies, very helpful. I changed the light bulb in 10-15 minutes, next time it'll probably take me 5 minutes.

Kinda f'd up that those are the steps just to change a damn bulb....no?! If you read the owner's manual, it tells you to take your car to the dealership for bulb replacement.
