suicide doors

Good luck w/ that. Photoshopping them onto a car isn't like photoshopping rims on a car....rims in a pict of a car is one-dimensional. Wouldn't putting suicide doors on a car (in open position) require picts of the G-sedan door opening in reverse....no? Or am I just thinking too hard? I think the only way you'll be able to see it is if someone has them.

oops... sorry guys. I skimmed through the original post and thought he meant the lambo doors. My bad...
IMO... suicide doors for the front would be more retarded than the lambo doors...
Suicide for the rear? I think its all preference, but the thought has crossed my mind. And you really dont need to find a pic on a G sedan. Any sedan with it should be good enough to give you an idea of how it will look.

You could only really do suicide doors on a coupe w/o massive work. The middle brace on sedans couldn't support the weight of both the rear and front doors opening at the same time. (You would have to re-enforce it quite a bit to make it structurally sound). Plus it'd look pretty retarded if you didn't suicide both rear and front doors. On top of that if you didn't suicide both rear and front doors, they most likely would hit each other when you opened them at the same time.
Most body shops that suicide doors on mini truck usually charge about 1k for each door. You weld in the new mounts, re-enforce the door and the pillar and move all the hardware. Lot of work, moreso on a car.

Its definately not rice. Rice is stickers, wings, and neon lights. Spinner is on another level, one below rice. Oh yeah, and led squirter!
It's an old school body moded trick, like shave door handle & frenched antenna, very classy when properly executed. Depending on the look you're going for. I know what you're saying about the Continental, but the Lincoln b-pillar doesn't extended to the roof. Their doors doesn't have window frame. When rolled down, it create a big open space for that clean look. Not sure if you can pull off that same effect with the G.
It's a LOT of work, but if you're putting together a show car and pulling all the stops, why not. Be the first.
