I am looking to replace the 5AT shift **** on my 2003.5 sedan with a 4.5/05/06 front button shift **** that reasonably matches my Willow interior (Infinity Parts says the color of the 05/06 comes in black, frost, or hinoki - I don't know what color this is). I have searched the threads, but didn't see a clear definitive answer as to whether it could be done (if modifications are needed) or if there was some problem with it. Also, I read that the M35/45 shifter may appear to work as well, but again I didn't read if this was a simple swap. I have the Razo shifter, but don't like it and I really don't want the Momo shifter either.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

05+ g35 shiftknobs will plug and play. M45 wont..it will require major modification. There was a few threads before regarding this issue, I have the momo and I think it matches the interior very well. aside from the fact that my GF calls it the "***** shiftknob" LOL

 

05+ shift **** will not plug and play. It's not even close. A coworker got a 05 G35 rental and I tried to fit the small **** in my 03. The shifter post is completely different.
