List of issues I am giving to the service dept at the next service

Think they will enjoy this

Infiniti Issues to address

1) Vibration when braking as well as when driving over 65mph

There is a vibration that is felt in the steering wheel and in the seats of
the vehicle when driving over 65mph. There is also vibration under
light braking felt in the brake pedal and a sideways shimmy of the
steering wheel.

2) Driver side wiper chatters and squeaks

I have already replaced the wiper assembly with no improvement. I tried an OEM blade as well as a Bosch and it still chatters. This has been an issue since delivery of the vehicle.

3) Rear passenger window rattle

This occurs on both the driver and passenger rear windows. More so on the driver’s side. This is alleviated by rolling down the window slightly.

4) Ticking noise from drivers side window when all the way up

5) Rattles in driver side door when driving over bumpy roads or playing music with heavy bass.

6) Rattle in the sunroof area when driving over bumpy roads.

7) Loud creak from the rear window area when pulling into steep drives at an angle.

FYI pads were replaced at 12k and rotors cut. 17k now.

Rear pads were replaced and rotors cut at 4k. I hate this car...glad it is my wife's now

yeah the rattles are so annoying. you think a car that is sold for 30k would be quiet as hell.

You will most likely get an NTF on most of those (No Trouble Found). Sucks that a car supposedly competing with Lexus has these issues.......

From what I've read, the '07's have addressed many of the past problems.

Yup, or the good ol' "unable to duplicate customer concern".

I'm with all of you. My '05x with 18k has so many rattles it's pathetic. At times the car is quiet, other times the dash rattles, the windows rattle, etc. etc. It's awful, and is a reason my next car will not be another G35 unless I am reasonably assured these problems have been fixed.

1) I have the steering wheel back shield rattle
2) Rattle in the sun roof area
3) Rattle in the glove department or navigation DVD Player area
4) Rattles when I put a drink in the drink holder
5) A lot of rattles other places I don't feel like listing

Has anyone got any fixes on these rattles?

rattles gone

Infiniti of Raleigh is my dealership.

I had a rattle from the door and from the clock/ compass area.

While they coldn't reproduce it, the tech "added some insulation" to each area and... no more rattles.

I offer this info up to possibly ask for the same "added some insulation" when you get a NTF response.

The windshield wiper chatter can be stopped by applying Rain-X or a similar product to the windshield.

Do you all have '05s? I have an '04 with 29K miles and no rattles whatsoever. Maybe you got a Monday or Friday car?

I know a lot of people probably think the Monday/Friday car thing is an urban legend, but I'm beginning to think it's true based on my own experience with my 03 6MT coupe.

:knocks on every piece of wood in the house:

The only rattle/creak I have is in the driver's side window when turning uphill/downhill (probably exactly the same thing as the OP). That's it. I have the Brembo's and so far have 45K on the original rotors and pads. The dealership claims I have 50% left on the front pads and 25% left on the rears. My CD player and window motors have failed, but those are confirmed defects in equipment. It seems like so far I've dodged most of the phantom problems that are difficult to diagnose/reproduce/repair (rattles, creaks, vibrations, wind noise, clicking, etc.).
