In between my 7500 mile and 11,500 mile services, my "check engine" light came on twice. I called my service adviser and he told me the same old "tighten the gas cap" routine. i did that, refilled the tank, cranked the cap closed and clicked it for 30 seconds for fun. Well, when I went in for the 11,500 mile service, I had them check the on-board computer. They checked the computer and found a "small leak error" in the engine. My dealer (Warren Henry, Miami) says they have 3 customers, including me, with the same complaint (check engine light comes on, stays on for a few days, goes off). They know of no fix as of this time but they say Infiniti is aware of the issue. I don't know if that's true. Has anyone else heard of this????

the light is the "orange" one. the dealer did a "smoke test" to see if there were any obvious leaks. they couldn't find any but they said that they will keep an eye out and let me know.
