Recently got an 06MT Black on Black then discovered this forum and I am officially hooked. Needless to say this vehicle is quite a step up from my 2000 accord coupe. I love the car but am having a nightmare of a time keeping the Black on Black clean and swirl/spiderweb free. I wash with 2 buckets, and am very **** about it (never take it to a auto wash) but I feel that it looks like I've had this car for 2 yrs (it is my first Black car though). I am looking into getting a PC; how easy is it to remove minor swirl/spiderweb? Any reccomendations on pads/ polish/ etc? Are Infiniti famous for these types of paint issues or are all the imperfections only coming out because it is black? Any help would be appreciated...

id say watch out for parts that were not clearcoated like the sideview mirrors for one. i was going to get the black on black coupe, but knew id run into the same washing problems as youre worrying about... that's why i went with LR.

I would try the full Zaino kit with the wash, claybar and multiple waxes. I don't have any problems with my 04 blk/blk even here in the Phoenix sun.

Been there done that

I've already purchased the zaino kit (thanks to the input from the detailing section on here) and love it. I washed with dawn, did a full claybar, and in the 6 months since I've owned my new ride I've put 4 coats of Zaino Z-2 and 2 of Zaino Z-5. Water still beads on this beauty like it was waxed yesterday. Any additional suggestions? Those pictures of OB look amazing and I would be willing to put in 9 hrs polishing to remove them. Pads/ Polish ecommendation? Does Z PC with a Porter Cable help remove some of these lighter swirls?
