tree sap ?

Greetings, folks. Long time reader, first post. Several weeks ago I discovered 3 dime-size spots on my hood. It appears to be tree sap, I think (many trees in our office park). Can't get the spots off. Tried regular washing and bug/tar removal, no success.

Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance, and happy driving !

Isopropol rubbing alcohol, 91% gets rid of it all, without hard rubbing, I always did it before waxing my car!

Plus, I noticed in my last Mustang's owner's manual, Ford recommends it too! Damn, I just tried it out years ago, and it worked, I had tried everything else, it has never hurt the paint!
