I chose the Stillen for the sound. I wanted it a little loud. I didn't choose the Borla because I didn't think it would be loud enough for me and I don't really like the clamp connections. It may sound silly but I wanted a system that bolted together with gaskets. Hp is not an issue here, who's going to reape the benfits of 5hp?

Neither of them even make 18hp. The stillen claim is total crap. The Stillen makes ~13-15 and the borla ~8-11

Yeah, I was lmao when I had my parts guy call Stillen and the sales rep quoted the catalog word for word and said he had the gen 1 installed on his G adding 23hp.

I did the same thing when the part manager at Elk Grove Infiniti told me the Stillen exhaust on his sedan was giving him 20 horsepower.

I am considering selling the Fuji and going with another setup or going back to stock. It is hard to find something that has everything you are looking for. The Borla for my sedan had everything. It sounded really good without being loud inside or out, gave decent gains and looked nice and clean. I like the look of the RS*R for the coupe, but it is too loud. The HKS I don't like the sound, look of tips or price. Since I already have DC Headers, Crawford Cats and JIC Y-pipe, I may try the Tanabe Touring Medallion. I hear it is pretty quiet, it looks nice and provides about same gains as Fuji. This may be the setup a 40 year old like myself is looking for.

To the untrained eye, you can't tell the difference. The single (twin path) muffler looks stock.

I always wondered about that...it seemed like a huge claim just for an exhaust!!

I had the Borla TD installed on my 03 sedan for about 5 days. It was too noisy, especially in the back seat where my son sits. The drone was the biggest issue. I didn't note a huge change in performance. The gentlemen that purchased the system from me saw a 4-5whp gain on his 06 sedan. DO NOT believe Borla's and Stillen's inflated claims. Expect no more than 5 to 8whp with either of these systems.
