[QUOTE=Texasscout]To the untrained eye, you can't tell the difference. The single (twin path) muffler looks stock.

Wow you sure had me fooled. And here I thought i saw a system with a X-pipe, dual resonators and a single dual in-dual out muffler (4 major pieces) vs. a dual in-dual out muffler, two resonators, and a second dual in-dual out muffler (with 6 major pieces).

By the way, neither exhaust system is True Dual.

I think sometimes on auto forums ppl start to foget that the general population uses flywheel hp as the number they quote. So someone saying they got 20 horses out of an exhaust that is known to give 13-15 hp to the wheels isn't that outrageous a claim. That's assuming that the 13-15 number is to the wheels.

NO Knothead, I meant that if you were standing by the car and didn't know that it had the system, all you would see is two shiny tips just like stock.

Expect no more than 5 to 8whp with either of these systems.
So true my friend! People have to stop believing these claims for 15-18hp on these exhaust systems. It's not even close to those numbers. Look for 3-8hp with a typical exhaust system on a NA vehicle. When you go FI, then you start to get some better WHP numbers

Borla or Stillen?

Just installed the Borla Catbacks this week....excellent fit/finish. saved 22 lbs. off stock exhaust. Exhaust note very mellow at idle. a little more aggressive under throttle. Throttle response is much improved due to improved breathing. Stillen Stage 2 SC coming in next couple weeks.....can't wait!

Yeah it's all a personal thing. If I was not driving my 3 year-old around all the time I would like a louder exhaust and go with the Stillen.
