Compression Rod problem - Anyone get satistfaction from Infiniti?
It is dissappointing that this is an issue with the car. The bushings on this car are pretty stiff for OEM and they help the car perform like it does. As the bushings age, they loose they're natural lubrication and they will creak. The noise I hear sounds exactly like stiff aftermarket poly bushings that aren't lubed well. It is a manufacturing defect, but I really see no way on how to fix this unless they develop serviceable grease bushings.

Wonder if the 07s have grease fittings. . .
Thanks!

I'm getting totally annoyed by it again, and my dealer (after replacing the parts once) is now giving me the "cannot replicate" nonsense. Replacing the rods/bushings clearly fixes the problem, but it's only temporary.
Has anyone successfully gotten Infiniti to respond to this problem? I know some of you opened customer service cases. How about getting another dealer in the Wash DC area to be responsive? (my obstinate dealer is Passport).

Don't just sit with a service tech, tell him your issues & walk away for the day. I cannot believe you would have to do the corporate thing to get this resolved...that's BS IMO!!

Compression rod or any other suspension piece do not have grease fittings on them to relube it. The compression rod is more likely a candidate for the g35 drift to the right while driving than anything else. If you have the car aligned after 15k or so and it does hold an alignment thats one key defect in it starting to go out. As for the noise it was posted earlier if the bushing starts to dry out it will creek a bit, sometimes we can get it to act up at the dealer and sometimes we cant.
