Gas mileage mods

What mods actually improve gas mileage as well as performance? Sorry if this is a newbie question but I know nothing about performance mods, only mostly audio.

I just put in a bottle of Chevron w/ Techron fuel injector cleaner, and I haven't had to fill up my car in the last couple of weeks (partly because I've been driving my parents' cars while they're on vacation).

I actually installed the GroundingGear 10-wire kit about 2 weeks ago on a month old used 03.5 AT that I bought. Since then my gas mileage has improved slightly. I dunno how much that is attributed to the wires and how much it is attributed to the fact that I resetted the ECU and TCU via battery disconnect. Or maybe I'm just imagining things. Anyways, I am waiting for a few more fillups before I come to any conclusion about whether or not my gas mileage actually improved or not.

From everything I've read on this site, breathing mods (a la intakes) have the greatest likelihood of increasing MPG (albeit slightly at best). But everyone seems to agree that the change in sound will make you more likely to push the pedal, thereby cancelling out any gain.

There are not really any mods that will help mpg.

It has been proven that mods like an efficient intake, exhaust and even a supercharger can help your mpg a tiny bit IF you can stay off the pedal. I sure as hell can't. But i did just get 18.3mpg (mostly city) on my last tank and still open her all as often as possible.
