I have been having the same problem and will go home and check out the possible causes. I really hope it works. Is anyone still having the this problem?

Nope, break fluid refill fixed it.

I filled up the brake fluid and the lights are now gone. I will do a test drive later on tonight. Thanks for all your help!

Worn brake pads will send an unexpected signal to the computer upon braking causing the VDC and brake light to come on. When this happens, ABS will not work. Each time my rear pads have been at the end of life, this has happened to me. In both cases, new brakes fixed it.

Check abs sensors/lines, fluid level, pad condition.

In my case, it was because the lower control arm bushings were shot and my steering wheel was canted a bit to the left when going straight. The computer disables the system so it doesn't try to correct what is initially interpreted as a skid.

Mine was from low brake pads/fluid. My lights went away after fresh pads & fluid.
