'04 G35 VDC Slip Light coming on for no reason

Hello,

Anyone have or know of an issue with the VDC SLIP light & Brake light coming on for no reason? After turning off and restarting, lights go away.

Thanks

I personally had an issue with my VDC light comming on randomly when my alignment was way out of spec after suspension install. After the alignment it has not come back on.

I have also heard of an issue with the TPS sensor which some members have had covered under warrenty.

Do a search and you will come up with some threads

It could also be the throttle body or brake pads.

Didn`t somebody report that problem when their brake fluid level was low? Sounds way out there, but I think I remember reading that. Easy enough to check!

The answer is... all of the above.

There are any number of things that could cause the lights to come on:
Speed sensors (in the back of the hub)
Brake pads low
Brake fluid low
Incorrect tire sizes
Alignment

I am not sure about the TPS sensor, I would think that would throw an CEL.

In my case I had damaged a speed sensor cable, and had to replace it. The part cost $170, my dealer wanter $200 to install. It took me 5 minutes to install the part. If this is what is wrong with your car, do not pay them to install the part.

I slammed into a curb yesterday and had to replace the front, driver's side inner tie rod. My alignment is pretty far off right now and after about 200 feet of driving the "VDC" and "SLIP" lights stay illuminated with each other.

I do not think there is any other damage to the vehicle besides scratches, but I'm going to have my alignment specialist to check it out.

Do you think both lights are on because my alignment is out of whack?

My brake fluid level is perfect, that's the first thing I checked. I'm leaving the battery disconnected overnight.

After my alignment the lights have no come back on and the VDC button works like it should.

Now I'm getting a humming noise and a slight vibration from the front right when I make right turns on the highway.

WOW! I was getting on here for pretty much the same problem. Was driving down the road, pulled into gas station, turned car off and filled up the tank. Got back in car and Brake, Slip, and VDC lights all came on and stayed on. I turned the car off and back then they went away. Thenext time it happened
(today) they wouldnt go off. Guess I need to check what you guys have posted about tomorrow.

I had the same issue a while back and it was rectified by adding brake fluid.
