Coupe 6MT
Bought the AT because there's a kid on the way, I didn't want to wrestle gears and kids at one time...
I'd say the shifts could be more responsive, I see a delay of about 500 to 1k rpm from the time I shift to the actual gear change (that's if I'm flooring it). If I fenagle the gas a bit or time the shift earlier then it will all take place when I need it to. I only tend to use manumatic when there are many turns under aggressive driving circumstances (you know, like when I'm going to miss my train to work )

i mostly use auto but i like the manumatic..it gives me a feel of control over the car...and i know, y didnt i get stick, well i live in miami...aka...the city of traffic and retards who cant drive. but yea, the manumatic is slushy at best. ive heard with the valve body upgrade that ur shifts are as fast as manual

I have a 2003.5 and didn't get manual for same reason, traffic. Sometimes I want manual, just because the auto is so laggy. I have grounding wires but I don't feel the difference.
What I really want to know is if someone tried auto VS manumatic at the track. I'll be sure to try it when I go in March, but I'd like to know ahead of time aswell.

started using it bout 5 months after I bought it. They tried to switch back to auto but kept on switching it into neutral all the time so I went back. I like it better then manual cuz in my opinion manual trany makes car kinda low tec. I know that it's not like that but that is just how I feel. But with manumatic it's something different then same old manual, even though you get lag and **** it's still funn.

I like to use the manumatic when driving aggressively and when on the track (road course though). Mostly just because I can control the downshifts, hate it when it refuses to down shift, looking to get that reprogrammed. I haven't ran it on a drag strip but I think the transmission does a pretty good job of upshifting on it's own, in manumatic I tend to bump up against the limiter often. Seems to hit just as hard either way.

...crap just looked back, you've got a 03.5, this trick won't work because you've got the top gear selector rather than manumatic

2003.5, wanted 6MT, got 5AT due to ex-fiance (learning experience) wanting to be able to drive the car. My biggest mistake: girlfriends should have no say in what car you choose, unless she's married to you.
I use the MM everytime I drive. I usually set it to 3rd or 4th around town. Just feels a little more responsive than chugging along at 40mph in 5th. Only time I run auto is long distance freeway driving. Next one will be a manual for sure.
