Pop Charger Replacement Filter

Should I replace my JWT popcharger filter with theirs or a K&N Filter? They are about the same price! I have never used anything oer than K&N except for this!

No. They are both oil sprayed, cotton gauze based filtration systems.

Yeah I replaced my Stillen filter with an AEM Dryflow filter.

I like it better because you don't have to oil them.

I also replaced my Stillen Airfilter with the AEM Dryflow meant for the JWT Popcharger.

However, it is a TIGHT Fit. I had to bend the stillen box a bit to get it in. The filter is prob a mm to big and the flange a MM too small (not flush with box) it fits none the less.

also, the growing consensus recentely has been that Oil filters DAMAGE MAF's. more and more people are talking about it, both on the forums and in person. I believe that it is very important that people swap out their K&N's for dry filters (for MAF's)

I would like to see what K&N has to say about this...

I don't like the dry filters. They aren't cleanable and you have to buy a new one every time. I've run K&N panels and cone filters on my maxima since 1998. Absolutely no problems. I've been running a panel on my G for the last 10k or so. I recently inspected my maf sensor and it was bone dry/clean.

The only way an oiled cotton guaze type filter will hurt your maf is user error.

cool. how does it filter? Oil is one reason why the K&N types filter well
