Pop Charger Replacement Filter
Should I replace my JWT popcharger filter with theirs or a K&N Filter? They are about the same price! I have never used anything oer than K&N except for this!
I saw TTrank talking in another post about a dry filter (I think they were talking about it was as good as the wet not to sure ) not sure what thats all about but maybe something to look into. just found this link http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=32

I like it better because you don't have to oil them.

However, it is a TIGHT Fit. I had to bend the stillen box a bit to get it in. The filter is prob a mm to big and the flange a MM too small (not flush with box) it fits none the less.
also, the growing consensus recentely has been that Oil filters DAMAGE MAF's. more and more people are talking about it, both on the forums and in person. I believe that it is very important that people swap out their K&N's for dry filters (for MAF's)
I would like to see what K&N has to say about this...
good info to know...i recently cleaned and oiled (not too much) my injen filter and it came out nice and clean yours must have been filthy floyd! i will be removing my maf sensor (1st time) tonight to clean with the crc so im looking forward to how dirty or clean itll be
weird its working now...im assuming the aem filter will fit on all intake tubes?

I don't like the dry filters. They aren't cleanable and you have to buy a new one every time. I've run K&N panels and cone filters on my maxima since 1998. Absolutely no problems. I've been running a panel on my G for the last 10k or so. I recently inspected my maf sensor and it was bone dry/clean.
The only way an oiled cotton guaze type filter will hurt your maf is user error.

i usually just clean mine, and re-oil it and it's good to go again
