Yeah I did it on the way home on grand ave, got a few looks from oncoming traffic especially when the smoke came out Gotta go on another drive to see how they hold up, that and I switched the sways to hard all around, should be fun

Also I found a guy to swap the 3.5 gears so I should have that within a few weeks.

They are heavier but I didn't notice much on acceleration, but then again I ditched the spare tire too since it wont fit.

Got home a midnight last night so no. I just downloaded one and will look at them soon.

If your car is not detonating you are fine to drive for now.

They are all labeled at the top, my main concern was the 91 vs the stock map, i also threw in the 93 one. Also it shows my throttle slowly closing, im hoping I can get some cipher logs tonight.

do you ever track the car? Particularly 1/4 mile?... I need to shave .003 off my 1/4 mile time to get into 13s (might not sound like much, but no other VQ that I am aware of has done it on our track)... So I'm a bit leery about adding too much rotational mass...

If you do drag race - do you have ETs before and after the Akebonos?

*Side note – the rotors I have now are lightweight and are great for drag racing – problem is, I have found a passion for road course, which is why I need better brakes… word to those modding for track: choose drag or road course for your decision making mods = its very difficult to have a viable setup for both (but I’m trying)

Don't have any before / after numbers. I'm not much of a 1/4 mile guy, the best I've gotten so far out of my car was a DA corrected: 14.397 @ 97.416 MPH that was pre brakes/reflash with a full tank of 91 gas and spare and everything.

The guy I got my brakes from sent out some rotors and hopefully within a month or so should have some 2 piece slotted/drilled ones that should help. Also with the 370z using the same brakes I wouldn't think that lighter rotors should be too far off.

??? Does this mean you arent currently using the G37/370Z rotors?... also, does this mean there are 2-piece rotors already in development for the OEM Akebono?...

I am using the oem g37/370z rotors, he sent out another set for measurements to be made and I'm hoping they will be made soon so I can swap, however I have no definite eta for when they should be done but as soon as I hear anything I can let you know, I know a lot of G37's are waiting on these.

Mike, these will slow down your 1/4 a little for sure. Unfortunately you are going to have to pick one or the other.

Fill your car with helium balloons to offset the weight.

or ditch the passenger seat/spare/tools/rear seats

or the anorexia route

not sure which of those is least appealing.

Next time we go to the drags I am going to strip everything except my amp rack out of my car and see if that helps.
