OPINION: Altima suspention fit on G35?

Do you guys think that an aftermarket suspention made for the Nisan 03 Altima would fit on the G35? Do you think it would have the same mounting points?

Salesmen are funny. I had a >6' Mitsubishi salesman climb into the back seat of a '99 Eclipse GSX, bang his head on the rear glass, and while sitting there with a posture like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, say: "See, there's PLENTY of room back here!"

I highly doubt it. But the bigger question in my mind is, what on earth does the altima get parts wise that isn't covered by Z or G applications already? I'd be surprised if the altima has even half of the aftermarket as the Z and G do. But I haven't really looked either. Also keep in mind that the tuning will usually have a FWD weight bias as part of the tuning mix. Though some Z/G suspension systems are tuned that way to, like we need more understeer

Re: OPINION: Altima suspention fit on G35?

The front and rear suspension is almost identical as far as springs, struts are concerned. The problem you will run into is that the altima is lighter in the back, and heavier in the front, so all the spring rates will be different. springs and shocks/struts should fit.

I recommend you don't use anything from the altima for your G. The altima, on the other hand, could easily benefit from rear suspension products intended for the G or Z.

This is coming from an ex 2k2 3.5SE altima owner with a moderately modified car (40k miles >5k in mods).

the single biggest suspension upgrade you can make is tires. If you ahve changed tires already then look into some 'Z' sway bars (fixed or adjustable). After that it is time to go with Tein or JIC adjustable shocks (2 grand for install and parts)

I know that Altima and Maxima does not have a good aftermarket with the VQ3.5 engine becase its hard to market it and hard to make parts for it since its fwd or that what I have read on Maxima forums. I dunno but maybe the Maxima one might work?

2k4 maxima is identical to altima except again the spring rates and valving in the shocks struts is different (fwd/rwd weight balance). The 2k3 and previous maxima had a solid rear axle
