Non-sport Loaner

Non-sport Loaner
Today I took my G (with Sport pkg) in to get the Outside temp sensor replaced and was given a non-sport G as a loaner. I took the long way to work so I could take it on some twisties. My impression is that the non-sport may be a tad smoother on the highway but a little detatched from the road. I didn't get the feeling of being in complete control. The loaner had the Bridgestones as opposed to mine having the 'sport' Eagles.
Any idea on how much the tires play into the difference of the two?
BTW: I now appreiciate the titanium finish in mine after driving the non-sport.... seemed cheap. IMHO

Re: Non-sport Loaner
I just grabbed a non-sport loaner today. My car came with bridgestones and sport, so the tires don't come into play. I autocross my car, but can't push the loaner that hard. I did drive it aggressively today, and I'd say that for people that only drive around on city streets, the sport package isn't necessary.
However, the Turanza'a suck at dry traction, regardless of your suspension. Luckily, mine are almost worn out...
As for the interior, I think black plastic looks cheap.. graphite interiors need the titanium trim. However, this loaner is a willow interior.. and the center console color (dark beige to brown) kinda works. Here, the titanium-colored bits look out-of-place and clash with the willow. I think it needs the wood package, and it also needs all the extra metal bits changed to something else (steering wheel controls, shift plate, etc.)
On an interesting side note.. the window sticker was in the glove box. My loaner is an '04, and the EPA estimate is 18/26 instead of the 19/26 that's on my '03 sticker.

Re: Non-sport Loaner
Ryoken,
Did you go the Discover also? I was there around 8AM... sounds like you got a nicer loaner than me! I am going to complain :-) I asked if they had any FX's for loaners... they don't.
Agree on the willow interior, it needs the wood.
BTW: I get 18 if I am lucky!

Re: Non-sport Loaner
I took it in to get the Outside temp sensor replaced, replace the engine air filter (from all of the ASH), and my first oil change. I have ~3400 on it now. The sensor will get stuck at the low temperature of the day. So they do have FX loaners... the early bird gets the FX!

Re: Non-sport Loaner
Duh.. you said that in the first post.
Yes, they have 3. I was told that they keep them in the back, because when the G35 loaners first came in, customers would fight over them. To prevent that, they keep the FX's out of sight.
You haven't had your car that long.. Mine's at 8200 miles, and coming up fast on the first free brake job.

Re: Non-sport Loaner
Have you had your air filter replaced? I just got a call from Todd (service rep) and he said mine needed replacement.
