Re: **Free Brakes & Rotor Replacement**
All,
I just had my TSB brake and rotor job done today at my dealer, Motorwerks of Barrington in Illinois. The job took 1.5 hrs and they replaced my front rotors and pads. I received my TSB mailer on the 17th and I already had this appointment at my dealer set! I had my 15K service done two weeks ago and when I brought in my car for that, I asked the service manager to check my brakes. When my 15K service was done, my TSA gave me his card with Infiniti's Consumer Affairs number on it and he said I should call them and ask them to open a file for me on the brakes and rotors. I did that last week and that's when I set up my appointment today. Little did I know I'd receive the TSB in the mail! The Consumer Affairs guy said I would have to pay for the brake job and send in paperwrok to get reimbursed. The TSB in the mail was cool because I left the dealer today without paying 1 red cent and I got new rotors and pads today - a $1200.00 job! So the TSB is a 3 year 36,000 mi warranty from the purchase date of your car. Today I had just the fronts done. If in two months the rears start squealing, I get new rears, pads and rotors if needed. In in another 15K mi I need new fronts again, they'll do them at no charge. This is an extension to your factory warranty and no other car in the market is doing anything like this that I'm aware of!!!! Pads and rotors under warranty is unheard of! The Infiniti sales manager at Motorwerks even said he could not believe that they went out 3 years on this, that no other car company has ever stood behind their auto like Infiniti has with this!
To everyone that reads this post - if you put on aftermarket brake pads or rotors and you get the TSB, change out your pads immediately to the stock ones and take your cars in and get new ones! If they go out again or on a different axel, you get new ones again as long as your within 3 years or 36K. I just got my EBC green stuff pads from Courtesy Nissan last week. I've put them in my trunck bag to hold until this warranty expires! Then, after that, the EBC's go on!!!
This is awesome of Infiniti and awesome for us!
