yea, so what you could do is raise the car with the hydro jack (at the side skirt jack point) and put a jack stand under one of those frame rails so that if in case the hydro jack fails you would have the jack stand to catch the vehicle before it lands on the rotor.

yea, ive heard stories of scissor jacks failing...but that was more because the user placed it under a weak part of the vehicle and it just "slipped" out.

either way, i wouldnt trust those things either

in the end, better safe than sorry - plenty of vehicles fall on plenty of people every year

for people with only one jack (or people who could only raise one wheel at a time), they need to use a spare tire so they could lower one and and put the original wheel on the other side etc etc etc
I think only premium package comes with the full spare. I have oem jack, hdryo jack and two jack stands but not sure how to utilize them.

I think that's the one I got too. Like $25 bucks or something. 2 1/4 ton jack or something like that.

I opened up the Hawks HPS today and saw 2 pads with wear indicator and 2 pads without. Do you guys put the wear indicator on the outside or the inside? A quick search on the forum had both response (some put outside or inside).

When you remove the old pads, compare the old pads to the new and install the new pads in the same place. The pads will only fit one way. The indicators still on the outside of the rotor.

Hmmm.....according to this thread below, the oem pads have wear indicator on ALL 4 pads in the front.

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=hawks

Hawks HPS only comes with 2 wear indicator pads.
