Is the 07G worth it

To trade my 05 6MT with just 15500 miles for a new 07 6MT

Is it worth the change ?

What do you guys think.

The reason i am thinking of changing my G is i want a better manual transmission and clutch.

I am very tempted to buy a Honda S2K and just love the ride and transmission but the big cons is its a 2 door. Although i have a 4 door Honda Accord still my wife kid and myself wont be able to ride in the S2K together preventing us from taking long trips and thats holding me back.

Hence i was thinking of the 07 G. There seems to be no other car in manual transmission in the budget of 34-35 K that would be a pleasure to drive.

I want a RWD too.

no it's never worth the trade, it'll only take you another year or two to see something else that you like. When does it stop? Of course if you're financially stable (rich) it's not an issue. If you're like me and are going to finance for 4-5 yrs you're better off keeping your car. i doubt the improvements are any better betwee the 05 and the 07, not counting looks. I'm talking mechanical operation. Then again the final decision is of course yours.

I have driven the 07 MT and felt the clutch was better. However it was a short test drive.

Interior is ofcourse 10x much better

I don't think it is worth it since you will not get much for your 05. It gets cheaper to own your car per year the longer you keep it. I would wait it out.

start adding options, or going after a performance oriented 3 series.

You'll be way over the 40K mark before you get even close to G35 level performance.

Not worth it IMO. I hate car payments. If you enjoy constant 500+ dollar car notes then go for it. Especially to get rid of your car becuase you dont like the feel of the stick?

What about a used S2000 and keeping the G? They're pretty cheap these days, my friend just got a 01 with 20K miles for around $14K.

330I with performance package...a few extra ponys, short shift kit, tighter suspension, alcatara interior trim...it is a little smaller than our sedan is why I have held back, but you should be able to pick up one with 30K on the dial for about $25K. You know would know them because they have the M3 lip spoiler on the trunk and the thin twinspoke 18s. Sweet ride!

but yeah even when you condiser taxes title...etc it is a lot of money just to get a different shifter.

the S2K doesn't sound like a bad idea.

How about a few hundred $ for a new clutch if that is what you don't like about the G? That is much cheaper than a new car.
