A quick question on NISMO CAI...

Will it fit our sedans? I am not sure cuz it is made for the Z... I know some coupe owners have them, but so far no sedan owners have them yet...

I am leaning toward getting one cuz it's backed by NISMO(nissan warranty)... and it's relatively cheap compare to the Stillen HiFlow+Z tube setup...any idea? Thanx!

Mine is in the mail now for the same reasons you state, plus the bypass valve inclusion. I don't know if it fits on the Sedan however, and the sales guy at . . .

. . . didn't even know if it fit the G at all.

But wait... some cuttings were involved? Can you explain this in further details?

umm... now I am having second thought, since I am not as mechanically gifted and I hate drilling or cutting anything in my car...

Re: A quick question on NISMO CAI...

There is a foam block very close to where the filter/intake mounts, and this is all that is cut (to my knowledge). This is the same as the Injen CAI install practice. My Nismo should be here early next week. I'll post pics and a DIY guide when it's all done.

Re: A quick question on NISMO CAI...

I didn't cut the foam peice, more like removed with force. The peice I had to cut was a small plastic tab about 1" by 1". The tab has a hole in it, that held a wire loom in place in the lower portion of the front bumper. It was very simple and very small. Nothing that will ever be missed.

some pictures of your installation? If any? And also, do you have some step by step instructions? Where did you buy ur nismo intake? Do we just get the one that is for the 350Z? So nismo inake for the 350Z fits on sedan. yes?

G35lin:

Mine will go in this week (hopefully). I'll to put together a full DIY (coupe install) as well. My understanding is that the 350Z Nismo intake fits the G35 Coupe and Sedan.

As far as where to get it:

http://www.performancenissanparts.co...products_id=50

That is the cheapest place I've seen it so far.

g35lin,

can you hook the rest of us...or at least a select few in So Cal up too? =)

also, ive been reading a lot of posts on my350Z.com about how the nismo CAI isnt really that great and that CAI's in general arent that great. i know this topic has been discussed to death...with no resolve, but it seems that most people agree it doesnt do that much. only a few who have it, say its worth it for the sound.

I like data. Here's what the dyno says about it:
