They are talking about the coupe and 05/06 sedan which has that thick plastic mesh on the bottom.

It seems like adding mesh to the lower area on the non-aero would be a waste since it's not very open.

Yeah - a total waste. I guess when I read it was a replacement for the "stock grille" I assumed just that, and not "stock grille mesh".

Thanks anyway guys. I guess this case is closed.

You can just pop the plastic outa the bottom of the bumper if you need it out its just held on by clips. I had a bird fly in front of my car once and i caught it with the bumper and it pushed part of it in and all i had to do was push it back in from the back and it popped back in.
