The Air Filter Mod.
I have had them on my last 5 cars with ~150k+ miles total with no problems. All had MAS on them.
I agree an AEM dryflow style is better but if you oil your K&N correctly you should not have any problems.

I have a K&N drop in, no problems with with MAF sensor at all... also been using K&N filters for over 10 years, many different cars, never had a problem. It is impossible for a dry filter to flow more than an oiled one by the way.

Yeah that works well. It also is more than happy to burn up and filter oil you may have come off.
i need to clean my MAF sensor, now a couple weeks after i cleaned and reoiled my pop-charger filter. just to make sure there is no oil on the sensor. in fact, i'm gonna go do it now.
If you don't have a CEL then there probably is no oil on the mass air sensor. They are very delicate, the CEL will come on if something is throwing it off. But it can't hurt to clean it as long as you follow directions.
