Buy one wiper get one free

Hey guys I need to replace my windshield wiper and tirerack has a deal going on. Buy one Valeo blade and get the other free. Is it the hook-lock, side-lock, or top lock on our cars?

Hook lock I guess. But when I ordered mine, I never had to answer that type of question. BTW, they work good. Pass side doesn't cover all the way though. Tip doesn't touch the glass. No biggie

Tirerack.com did not ask me about hook lock etc. when I ordered last month. BTW they were running the same buy one ..get one free special then too.
Agreed with Jeff92se, the pass side blade does not touch the windshield on the far right side at rest. Not a huge issue just a pet peeve.
Been great blades for the time I have had them.

I bought these wipers for both my sister's car and my car. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone with another brand. The contact of the wipers to the far right are horrible and is very distracting if you are particular about things about your car. Good thing I bought one and got one free or I would be pissed. But to each his own, my opinion is to go with another brand.

The same thing happened initially with my Bosch Icons....but I took it off, slightly bent it, and now it touches the glass no problem. There were others on this forum that did the same - not sure if this applies to the Valeos or not.

I don't know if you can really "bend" the Valeos. They aren't supported like a traditional wiper (ie.. with metal braces). It's more like a wide/thick piece of rubber. I might dink around with it and see. I was just hoping it would conform to the glass over a week's time etc..

The Bosch Icons are a thick rubber piece as well...but the metal is inside the rubber from what I understand so you can bend it. Look at that link above...the bending works.

LOL - Thanks! I have daughter...she's 18 mos. now (pic is outdated). She just giggles when I floor it, hit a smooth bump (that lifts her a bit) or brake hard. Kids are great!

Doh...just realized that you posted that link!

My Valeo's don't cover the passenger side completely either. The blades work great except when there is a ton of road grime/salt on the streets which coats the glass. When that happens, the passenger side blade's lack of full contact on the glass, even on the up sweep, becomes apparent because the glass isn't fully cleaned on the last 2" or so of the swept area. In the rain, it's completely fine though. I really think Valeo or Tirerack needs to be making a recommendation to buy a 16" blade instead. I may email Valeo and send them a pic of the issue and report that this a common problem. BTW, you can't bend these blades.

I put Valeo's on my wife's Legacy GT and she absolutely loves them. I also noticed my friend's brand new Avalon came with them.
