I got a 2003 with 37K on it for 15K. It is without HID and no passenger power seats but both seats are heated. It still has powertrain warranty and pretty much every thing is ok apart from tires which are not matching and the ride is not stable at high speeds due to that. I will get a new set in next 10K miles.

I thought the price was pretty OK as an Accord with similar year and miles would not come in less than 12K and I got a luxury car with more than double the Bhp.

Not to hijack a thread or anything, but I too am considering switching back to a Nissan product from Audi and this thread has helped out.
I have an A4 that I love, but that has been rape'n me as of late on repair costs and I've had it. I've owned a '03 Maxima and have an 05 Titan, both of which I've been pleased with.
I'm looking at an 05 6MT sedan or a 04-05 X. Besides the trans synchro issues on the MT is there any other major issues or concerns to look for when looking for a used G35? Also how rare are the 6MT's? In my area there is never more than 1-3 within a 200-300 mile radius at any given time and dealers seem to put a premium price on them compared to same year/similar G35/G35x's.

I don't know if I'll buy new again. It was nice to buy new, at least once, but the depreciation.

Probably look at 2 year old cars. Still plenty of warranty, they shouldn't be TOO high mileage, but should be a decent deal. When I bought mine 3 years ago, the 1 year olds (which were the oldest available) were asking too close to new price so I figured the few thousand more was worth it.

I bought my 04 last August from Infiniti. I had them through in the certified preowned fee. I paid a little extra to get upgraded to elite warranty. So I have the remainder of the bumper warranty, plus powertrain, and electronics up to 100K, or 2011. Elite allows me to transfer the extended warranty, and has reunite, which means if the car breaks out of town, they pay my way and then bring me the car. All of this and I saved about 15000 off the price of an equivalent 06.

I bought my 05 6MT with 3,800 miles in September for $25k. I could have probably held out and gotten a slightly better deal, but that is as close to a new car as I am willing to get. Considering it has every option and sold for close to $35k originally, I don't feel that bad. But, there is something to be said for finding a low mileage 03.5 or 04 for $15k and not worrying nearly as much about it.

My car has 6,000 miles on it now and is sitting in my garage while I drive my 87 300ZX back and forth to work. Why oh why did I get the car so that it can sit in the garage? I barely even take it out on weekends because I am just running up to the store or something. *sigh*

Yes, it is DIY. I wrote up an install guide when I did it. Heres the link to it.

No fitment issues at all. They are interchangable. Easy stuff man.

Cost...I think I paid like $400 for everything? I forget. It was a while back. I think everythingg35.com still sells them.
