VDC slipping up

ok, so jersey got hit with its first real snowstorm today. now this morning car performed beautifully on the way to work. i have to be at work at 530am so i had a little fun on my way. now on the way home the car performed great.(not even trying to have fun.) parked for a couple more hours, then about 5 hours later i take it for a ride to pick something up. heard a wierd noise, thought maybe the tires on the hard snow as i turned them. now i gave it some gas and i heard an awfull noise. i'm pretty sure everyone knows that little noise we hear when we first gas it, i beleive its the abs check? correct me if i'm wrong.

anyway i know i was slipping but my slip light would not go on. instead heard that little noise except it wasn't so little anymore. now trying to make it slip i hear that noise again. it last for about as long as the tires are slipping. now put in snow mode. didnt make that noise at first, but once the tires slip that noise comes. looks like instead of my slip light flashing when it detects slip, its that noise instead. i do have a "serviceenginesoon" light on. it came on a couple days ago. happend a couple weeks ago too, but was only the gas tank sensor. figured it was the same. i was taking it to the dealer next tues. since that was the next available date to get a loaner. but i think i'm just calling in tomorrow morning and dropping it off.

in a good note. put a thule rack on the G for the winter to lugg my gear around. looks awsome.

Take it in to the dealer and have them read the code.

yeah, its at the dealer. it was the throttle response. thats what set off my enginelight at that caused the vdc to act up. that grinding noise was my abs trying to keep up with the slip. its all fixed and ready to go. they gave me an 07 g35x. dont like the styling to much in person. but the interior OMG i dont want to step foot inside my G after seeing the 2007 interior. and i also feel that 2007 is sluggish. my 05 feels like it has alot more pep then the 07.

same here

I had the same problem with the throttle.

But also get your brakes checked out. I found out That these cars really like to eat up break pads cause of VCD.

The dealer tryed to charge me 1075 bucks for new front and rear.

I got my own parts, and some slotted roters for 500 bucks and did it myself.

yeah, it was actually the throttle chamber that they replaced. anyway i got the car back, but nowhere to spin the tires cause bloomfield, nj did a pretty good job cleaning the streets. got back down to newark, nj where they dont pave streets. making the car slip i heard that abs grind noise a little. after a good 10 minuests driving around trying to get to spin the noise got louder. i dont remember ever hearing that noise when the car detected slip. called the dealer. going back 2morrow after work for a field drive with the tech. my first real problem with my G since i had it. 2 years now, 15,500 miles.

yes, the ABS will kick in if it detects slip even when accelerating. When I've been really bad, it will cut off the gas, and hit the brakes at the same time...
